How do they do it?

20 Apr

OK. I’m just wondering how all those newbie mamas out there are able to blog, knit and work! I feel like it’s just enough taking care of kiddo without doing all those other things.

Speaking of which, kiddo just woke up. Whoever said ‘Sleep while the baby sleeps’ must’ve had a really quiet and non-active baby.

Thanks for all your nice comments! Hopefully one day soon blogging will return to a little more regular schedule.

For the moment, I leave you with what my mom calls “The Three Faces of Alex” (the last being the most common look we saw during the first 5 weeks…).

Hang in there! I’m sure thing will settle in time — and with that cute face in the middle, you’re probably doing a lot of other things these days!

I know it doesn’t seem like she’ll ever sleep for more than 20 minutes at a time, but she will. It does get easier, and you will be able to catch up on your sleep. I know it’s hard to see now, but this craziness will eventually die down and the family will fall into a routine. She is adorable, and someday, that last photo will just make you laugh. Just so you know you aren’t alone!

It does get easier and you will find more time. She is cute. I love that you included the crying picture too.
